A new Nautica Collective yacht experience for Hospitality on the Beach 2026

Nautica Collective introduces a new yacht experience for Hospitality on the Beach

/0 Comments/in , , ,

I’m sure many of you can’t wait for this year’s edition of the epic drum ‘n’ bass festival, Hospitality on the Beach, which returns to Tisno from 1st to 6th July 2026. And here’s something brand new for this year, that will really allow you to experience the festival in style! Hospitality have partnered with Nautica Collective to introduce a truly stunning way to enjoy the festival – an initimate eight-day yacht voyage along Croatia’s coastline that ends at The Garden Tisno, home to the festival. Doesn’t that sound amazing? This will be the first time a Tisno festival has offered such an experience, so you can be one of the very first ever to enjoy one of these amazing voyages.

If you purchase a cabin on one of the yachts, entry into Hospitality on the Beach is included. Guests can secure a cabin with a £500 per person deposit with flexible payment plans also available. If there’s a large group of you, you can even opt to snap up a full five-cabin yacht – which sleeps 10 guests – to yourselves!

A new Nautica Collective yacht experience for Hospitality on the Beach 2026

This will be a fabulous adventure for all music-loving travellers that will really elevate your summer festival experience. You’ll get the perfect mix of private yacht life before attending one of Croatia’s most popular festivals at the best beachside location. Each yacht accommodates up to 10 guests, so you’ll be able to enjoy something like a private charter with plenty of curated dining and island exploration opportunities.

We’re incredibly excited to be taking Nautica to the next level in collaboration with the world’s leading drum & bass brand. With my background in music travel and festivals, creating music-led experiences has always been something I’m deeply passionate about, so this partnership feels especially exciting. By combining the energy of a destination festival with a premium yacht adventure over eight days, we’re creating something truly unique for fans – a one-of-a-kind experience that pushes the boundaries of what a music festival can be.

Lucy Buckmaster, Founder of Nautica Collective

Nautica Collective’s Hospitality on the Beach Yacht Itinerary

Yacht-goers wil spend eight day and seven nights on a premium catamaran that will explore the fabulous Dalmatian islands before you arrive in Tisno for Hospitality at the Beach. Each yacht will have a dediated skipper and onboard chef, and all meals and drinks are part of the yacht package. The flexibile sailing plan will see the yacht sail to hidden coves, crystal-clear waters and picture-perfect little island towns on the way to Tisno. Also included is seamless access to the festival, with transfers to boat parties and Barbarella’s afterparties on the mainland, as well as airport-to-dock transfers.

And if all of that wasn’t enough, you could also opt for some of the optional curated experiences such as onboard wine tastings of Croatian wines hosted by wine expert Domm The Somm (aka Dynamite MC who will be performing at the festival), intimate sunset DJ sets at anchor from Hospital Records artists, and private vineyard tours on nearby islands. Really, the perfect mix of sailing Croatia’s gorgeous coastline and revelling at a festival!

Sail into Hospitality on the Beach 2026

Your yacht will arrive in Tisno on 30th June, just in time for exclusive access to the festival’s private pre-party! The festival itself starts on 1 July and from then you can step ashore to experience Hospitality’s legendary atmosphere at the Beach Stage, Olive Grove Stage and the Main Stage, not forgetting the sunset boat parties and the famous after-hours sessions at Barbarella’s. This year will see a heavyweight programme featuring the likes of Sub Focus, Andy C, Metrik, Kings of the Rollers, Calibre, Dillinja, Flava D, Lens and more. Nautical Tourism in Croatia - Dubrovnik

The growth of nautical tourism in Croatia

/0 Comments/in ,

We all know that Croatia has many, many delights, all along its stunning coastline. You can therefore imagine that one of the best ways of experiencing the country and everything it has to offer is by sailing the Adriatic. What could be better than gliding over the twinkly sea on a luxury vessel, exploring islands big and small, swimming in private coves before enjoying a hearty lunch on board and then moving on to some relaxing sunbathing or snooze time.

Nautical tourism in Croati

Yacht rentals have become one of the fastest-growing luxury travel segments, and it is no surprise to discover that the Adriatic and Croatia are among the most popular destinations for such holidays. Croatia, in fact, accounts for 40% of global yacht charters according to data from the Croatian Ministry of Tourism.

And this figure is indeed growing, according to the latest figures! Between January and July 2025, Croatia welcomed 72 foreign cruise vessels making 377 journeys and carrying over 516,000 passengers, representing a 10.8% increase in vessel arrivals and a 9.2% increase in overnight stays compared to the same period in 2024. (Source: Croatian Bureau of Statistics, Sept 2025.)

Nautical Tourism in Croatia - Split

Darijo Saric of VIP Holiday Booker explains why Croatia has become a leader in nautical tourism and yacht holidays.

High-profile visitors have played a part in raising Croatia’s profile. Just a few months ago Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez were photographed celebrating with foam parties on a yacht ahead of their wedding. Beyonce and Jay-Z have been spotted touring multiple islands on a private yacht. The Beckhams, Jon Bon Jovi, and many others have also been spotted sailing the Dalmatian coast.

Celebrities do bring more attention. Whether it is one of their holiday selfies being shared on social media or simply journalists covering celebrities in news outlets, it has inadvertently promoted Croatia as a yachting destination with global reach.

Nautical tourism in Croatia

But it’s not just celebrities showcasing Croatia’s appeal. Events such as Yacht Week, a week-long sailing festival that brings together thousands of young travelers for island-hopping, beach parties, and live music has become increasingly popular since it first started in 2006.

It presents the vibrant, social side of yacht holidays.

At the same time, yacht holidays in Croatia can be the opposite of high-energy partying. Yachts can be slow, authentic and deeply relaxing.

Many of our villa guests are increasingly requesting yachts as a part of their holiday packages. For them, it’s not only about accommodation, but about enjoying the full experience. They want to wake up in a beachfront villa and then set off on a yacht to explore hidden bays and remote islands.

This reflects how Croatia has been cleverly marketed to appeal to both adventurous younger travelers and a more refined segment seeking privacy, comfort, and curated experiences.

Something that is sure to be of interest to all sailors in Croatia this summer is the news that Split based non-profit organisation Green Sail have launched a free online course titled Yacht Charter: An Introduction to Croatia.

Green Sail Free Course

The course combines the knowledge and experience of professional yacht skippers and the established Green Sail team to help all sailors who are new to Croatian waters. The course will provide a concise and informative introduction to the unique world of sailing green in Croatia.

With the wonderfully calm Adriatic Sea and numerous islands and islets, it’s no surprise that sailing is a popular type of holiday and sport in Croatia – and elsewhere around the globe. Sailing in a new country can be daunting and confusing, so the Yacht Charter: An Introduction to Croatia course is an ideal way for first-time sailors in Croatia to learn about the specifics of sailing in this country, and to help reduce the risks onboard.

Everyone that completes the short 20 minute course will be well equipped to set sail in Croatia safely and efficiently with more confidence. You will also reduce the risk of damage onboard your charter yacht (possibly incurring additional costs) and will have an increased awareness of environmental sustainability issues involved with sailing.

Yacht Charter: Introduction to Croatia
Yacht Charter: Introduction to Croatia

The Yacht Charter: An Introduction to Croatia course will cover technical topics such as safety equipment onboard, using your bow thruster and how to dock and moor in Croatia. However, the course will also teach sailors about important environmental issues in the country such as how and when to release black and grey waters, anchoring near Posidonia Oceanica, waste reduction onboard and the importance of recycling

The Croatian organisation Green Sail, which aims to develop sustainable tourism in the nautical sector, has launched its first ever marine sustainability online course.

The ‘Introduction to Marine Sustainability’ course has been designed by the organisation to raise awareness about pollution in the marine industry and the need for sustainable tourism now and in the future. The introductory-level course – completely free to all users – provides students with a useful insight into what approaches can be used to implement sustainability in tourism and how best to protect marine life. Anyone with an interest in sustainability, responsible tourism and marine protection will definitely be interested in Green Sail’s course.

Marine Sustainability Online Course - Green Sail
default

Green Sail has been operating for a number of years in the sustainability sphere, working diligently to shift people’s behaviour and attitudes around sustainability, particularly in the nautical tourism sector. Green Sail has launched its marine sustainability online course as a response to the needs of the tourism industry. The organisation has switched to online learning; its on-site training has, unfortunately, had to be paused due to the coronavirus pandemic.

About the marine sustainability online course

The ‘Introduction to Marine Sustainability’ online course will provide users with an insight into how a sustainable approach to tourism, the environment and marine life is vital for a viable future. In particular, the course will address in detail the unbreakable bond between humans and the earth’s seas and oceans; this encourages a deeper understanding of the interconnection between oceans, the climate and weather.

The course also: covers the factors that impact climate change and its consequences; takes a look at the problem of sea waste and threats from pollution; and focuses on the importance of a sustainable tourism approach in the world we live in today. As mentioned, this course is completely free to all students.

Once completed, students will be able to understand how a sustainable approach to the environment can reduce pollution, climate change, sea waste and more. Students will also be able to discuss and apply the ideas behind these topics to their everyday life.

Zrce Sail Week

10 reasons to go on Zrce Sail Week

/0 Comments/in , , ,

As to be expected in the current circumstances, many of the festivals in Croatia have been cancelled for this summer. (Or, more accurately, postponed until 2021.) We’re sure many of you were planning to head down to Zrce Beach on the island of Pag to get your festival fix this year…so, what if we told you that there’s still a way you can get a festival experience in Croatia this year? That’s where Zrce Sail Week comes in!

Zrce Sail Week

Zrce Sail Week was started in 2019, and takes the number one party place in Croatia – Zrce Beach – to another level. World famous for its music festivals and 24-hour partying and open-air nightclubs looking out to sea, the area attracts many thousands of revellers every year. In any ‘normal’ year, Zrce Sail Week would organise an extra level of festival arrangements for all partygoers – it’s the first and largest brand that specialises in customised yacht hire for Zrce Beach.

As an outdoor event, Zrce Sail Week is permitted to be held in summer 2020, and will be setting sail every week from 4th July 2020!

But why take part in Zrce Sail Week?

10 reasons to go on Zrce Sail Week

1. The glamour

It’s a festival! On your ‘own’ yacht, sailing through the gorgeous Adriatic sea? What could be a better way of having a bit of fun this summer?

2. Everything is organised for you on Zrce Sail Week

Very often when you look to hire a yacht, you’ll get bogged down in a complicated and costly process, trying to plan the entire rental to within an inch of its life. Not here! Each yacht (which can accommodate up to 8 people) comes with its own skipper, whilst catamarans (for up to 12 people) have a skipper and a hostess.

3. It’s not as expensive as you may think!

As you’re spending your whole week on the yacht, there’s no extra costs apart from food.

If you want to add on a few extra people on your boat (if there’s space) to further lower costs per person, there’s the CrewFinder option to help you find people to fit into your crew! Or, use it for the opposite reason – if you’re a solo reveller (or there’s two of you), use it to find a solo or cabin slot on an existing yacht booking. You don’t need to get together a whole group of 8 or more people to enjoy Zrce Sail Week!

4. You don’t have to know a thing about sailing for Zrce Sail Week

Most of Zrce Sail Week’s guests are first time sailors…and all come away loving the experience! And then you can come home bragging to all your friends

5. The partying

Well, obviously. Did we mention that Zrce Beach is party central? You can choose to party the day and/or night away at clubs such as Papaya, Aquarius, Kalypso, Noa, Cocomo, Nomad and Euphoria and at the many events these venues host. Well, when you’re not partying on your yacht, that is!

6. It’s easy to get to start point for your week at sea

Zrce Beach on the island of Pag is easy to get to! The nearest airport is Zadar Airport, to where numerous airlines fly to from all over Europe. Pag is connected to the mainland by bridge, so you can get a bus from Zadar all the way up to Novalja, close to where Zrce Beach is. Of course, you can easily fly to one of the other airports in Croatia that are slightly further away – Split, Rijeka, Pula or perhaps even Zagreb.

7. You get your own personal guide for the week

The skipper on board each yacht knows the best places for everything. The best places bays for swimming, the best places to drop anchor, the best restaurants. You don’t have to do any research for these kinds of things!

8. You’ll be joined on your hols by like-minded people

Well, if you book a yacht with your friends, they’ll definitely be like-minded!

But even if you’re booking a solo spot or cabin, Zrce Sail Week tries to fit you in on the most suitable yacht. And most people booking these boats tend to be aged from 18 to 35 – which is likely what you are too.

9. It’s a week sailing in Croatia!

Have you seen the amazing Croatian coastline, with its numerous Croatian islands? (If you haven’t, you really should look it up!) It’s the ideal place for a sailing holiday. Zrce Sail Week is almost like two holidays in one – as well as a week partying, you also get to experience a sailing holiday.

10. It’s the perfect combination of a holiday

A bit of adventure on the seas, plenty of relaxation by day on the shimmering Adriatic sea and revelry at night – what more could you want from a summer holiday?!

Have we convinced you yet?

If you’re eager to book yourself a spot on Zrce Sail Week immediately, head over to zrcesailweek.com to book a yacht or catamaran, or cabin or spot. They are happy to answer any questions you may have via WhatsApp directly too.

The Yacht Week 2019 – Phase one line-up announcement

/0 Comments/in , , ,

The Yacht Week 2019 has announced phase one of its summer line-up of world-class DJs that will be appearing on its yachts in Croatia this summer. This unique ‘floating festival’ – the original one, no less – gathers together a flotilla of yachts full of party people seeking out adventures at sea. And it is only The Yacht Week that puts quality, credible music at the core of its offering – to give partygoers the chance to experience incredible house music and a party like no other. It has been sailing along Croatia’s Adriatic coastline since 2006 and is now set in six other destinations worldwide. But which DJs will be appearing in Croatia this summer? Read on below to find out who’s on the line up!

The Yacht Week 2019

The Buzz Boat

Weiss, Illyus & Barrientos, Mark Knight, and Offaiah will all be appearing on ‘The Buzz Boat’, a floating DJ stage, fully kitted out with a VOID Acoustic soundsystem. All in all, the Buzz Boat is a truly unforgettable experience.

The Buzz Boat
The Buzz Boat

Weiss was the breakout house music star of 2018, thanks to the phenomenal success of his track ‘Feel My Needs’. The sunset groover with luscious old school piano riffs brought him mainstream attention, but this British DJ / producer has already proved his credentials many times over with huge releases on Dirtybird, Toolroom, This Ain’t Bristol and more. Now heavily in demand at the world’s best clubs and festivals, Weiss is sure to bring the perfect vibes for The Yacht Week crowds during week 26 (22nd June to 29th June).

Illyus & Barrientos

Also preparing to board The Buzz Boat for week 27 (29th June to 6th July) are Illyus & Barrientos, the Glaswegian pairing currently tearing up dancefloors with their raw, jackin’ cut, ‘Shout’, on Toolroom Records, a track which perfectly sums up their energetic, deep, and percussive approach to house music. With releases on Suara, Exploited Records, Glasgow Underground and many more, Illyus & Barrientos have a well-deserved reputation as one of the hottest DJ / production duos in the UK.

There’s very little Mark Knight hasn’t achieved in the world of electronic music. The Toolroom Records boss is one of the most revered DJ / producers out there. His influence has shaped the sound of house music over two decades and provided him with a Grammy nomination, Toolroom Radio (broadcasting to millions), huge record sales, sold out Ibiza seasons, sold out world tours, and much more. Mark Knight taking over the VOID Acoustics soundsystem out on the waves will be an unforgettable experience. He appears during week 30 (20th July to 27th July).

Offaiah
Offaiah

Also announced is Offaiah, who will be performing during week 31 (27th July to 2nd August). This Londoner has been steadily building a reputation for quality, bumping house music full of hooks you can’t shake off and perfectly crafted drops for the dancefloor. Since smashing his way into clubland consciousness in 2017 with his breakout hit, the gospel-tinged, ‘Trouble’, Offaiah has been busy; releasing tracks on Defected, arguably the most credible and established name in house music, kicking off his new label All Fire Records, and most recently, remixing Deadmau5’s new single ‘Hurricane’. Hugely talented and heavily in demand: The Yacht Week is in for a treat.

The Yacht Week – Other Routes in Croatia

The Yacht Week experience is full of big nights and big DJs, alongside some more underground events supporting up and coming DJ talent. But all are designed to test the endurance of even the most committed clubbers!

If you’re thinking of attending the Ultra Festival in Split, why not combine that event with The Yacht Week?! The Croatia Ultra Festival Route includes tickets to Ultra Festival for the ultimate blow out. But when it’s time to recover, nothing comes close to The Yacht Week; guests can snorkel in secluded bays, try some seaside yoga, kick back at a beach lounge and enjoy freshly prepared lunch or dinner, and much more, before the night brings another dance floor.

Looking for something different in Croatia this summer? Why not go on an activity holiday!

/0 Comments/in , , ,

We at Visit Croatia are certainly not the only ones to be very excited by the imminent arrival of summer and all the delights it brings! One of the wonders of this great season is, of course, the summer holiday; picture it – sunbathing, swimming in the sea, indulging in fine food and drink, a bit of culture and sightseeing, all done in great weather!

Yes, of course we’re biased – but we think Croatia perfectly fits the bill for anyone looking for any (or all) of the above! However, if you’ve already been to Croatia before and are looking for something a little different – or if you’ve never been before, and want to experience the country in a slightly more unusual way, why not consider an activity holiday?

Activity Holiday in Croatia - Sea Kayaking

Sea Kayaking

Active Holidays Croatia offer a very wide range of such holidays in the country for several different skill levels. (So don’t worry if you’re a total beginner!) They can arrange holidays in some of best locations in Dalmatia, on the southern part of the Croatian coast, based around rafting, canyoning, sea kayaking (something that I’ve always wanted to try in Croatia), trekking, free climbing, canoeing, paragliding, wind surfing…and even bungee jumping! Their holiday packages are either seven or ten days long, and all accommodation is also included, with options to stay both in hotels and private accommodation.

Activity Holiday in Croatia - Rafting

Rafting

Now, whilst this might sound very attractive to you, you might think that perhaps you’d be missing out on seeing some of the best things Croatia has to offer. Don’t fear – for excursions and sightseeing trips are in fact included in all their itineraries. Whether it’s a fish picnic on the island of Brac; sightseeing in the bustling city of Split or the pretty little town of Trogir; enjoying the picturesque Krka National Park or spending a day in “Pearl of the Adriatic”, Dubrovnik, there’s plenty of cultural and rest time in between activities.

Activity Holiday in Croatia - Canyoning

Canyoning

But wait a minute, wait a minute…what if you’re definitely NOT the type for an activity holiday, and would rather someone else did all the “hard work”? Yeah, we hear those of you out there too! Active Holidays Croatia also offer a selection of luxury yachts and gulets for hire. These all come with a professional crew (so you won’t have to do a thing!), and are perfect for groups of ten to fourteen people. A sailing holiday is definitely one of the best ways of enjoying Croatia – sailing from the mainland to the islands, enjoying the wonderful coast, whilst also being able to anchor wherever takes your fancy – for a refreshing dip in the sea – is something akin to a dream.

Activity Holiday in Croatia - Nostra Vita

The gorgeous Nostra Vita

If you want a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Active Holidays Croatia also offer a fourteen-day holiday on their most luxurious yacht – the Nostra Vita – that starts in Dubrovnik and ends in Venice, taking in many of the top destinations on Croatia’s beautiful coast along the way. Sounds absolutely amazing!

Full details of activity holidays, and luxury yacht and gulet hire in Croatia can be found on Active Holidays Croatia.

Activity holidays in Croatia have been steadily increasing in popularity in recent years, and with very good reason. Put simply, this includes any sort of activity as part of your holiday, be it participating in some kind of sport (such as tennis or skiing); walking or hiking; speeding down the coastline on two wheels (on a pushbike, not a motorcycle, however!) or perhaps taking to the water for sailing or kayaking.

You might think that this doesn’t sound like your kind of holiday at all – why would you want to go on holiday and “do things”; holidays should be all about relaxation, right? Well, these types of holidays are in fact a great way of seeing the country from a slightly different angle, as well as being a great way to try new experiences (or take up old hobbies) in a wonderful setting. Some companies offer “package” activity holidays – great for those who like to have their holiday organised for them, but far different from the normal type of package holiday!

One such company that offers a very wide range of packages to anyone looking to experience activity holidays in Croatia is Active Holidays. They can arrange holidays on luxury yachts (otherwise known as gulets) or organise aforementioned package holidays, tailored to your interests.

Luxury yachts (gulets)

Active Holidays offer eight of the best luxury yachts for rent in Croatia, with the highest quality cabin design and level of comfort. Each yacht is equipped with a top notch crew who not only sail you from island to glorious island, but also serve up delicious food each day. All boats have a capacity for between 10 to 14 people, meaning they are perfect for a large family or group of friends. Prices range from €10,000 to €25,000 (the price for the 5* deluxe Nostra Vita) for a week which, if divided amongst the group, really isn’t that much for such a luxury holiday!

If you’re after something a little more adventurous, the company also offer packages for activity holidays in Croatia for 7- or 10-days in length. These are separated into easy, medium and active difficulties (so you’ll be sure to find a package that meets your level of intended activity or knowledge) and includes activities such as boating, rafting, hiking, trekking, windsurfing and rock climbing. All packages also include time for sightseeing and other excursions plus some rest days, so you won’t be “on the go” all the time!

These packages include halfboard, 3* accommodation (private or hotel), with over 300 different accommodation options to choose from. Prices are €820 for a week in private accommodation or €990 in a hotel, or €990 for 10 days in private accommodation or €1,160 in a hotel.

Best of all, all of these packages are entirely flexible. If there’s an activity you’d rather not do, or if there’s an excursion to one town than another you’d prefer to take just let the company know – and it will happen!
