The Festival
After a truly spectacular set from Fatboy Slim in the inaugural Umagination event in 2010 - which was attended by 5,000 people - and two top name headline acts last year (Tiesto and Rev Run of Run DMC), Umagination returns for a third year in 2012!

The event is to be held at the ATP tennis stadium (which is home to the Croatia Open, 5th - 15th July 2012), with is part of the Sol Stella Maris resort, about 2km north of the town of Umag itself.

Umagination is also part of the Adria Music Conference (1st & 2nd June 2012), which will see a number of other events and other parties also being held!

Few details about this year's event have been announced, but given the quality of last year's acts we say watch this space!

Tickets for the Umagination
Tickets for the event have yet to be released although will be soon. It is likely that - like last year - tickets have to be purchased for the two-day as a whole rather than individually.

Ticket prices are likely to be in the 250 Kuna for early bird tickets (around £29/€34/$47) before rising to 350 Kunas just before the event (around £41/€47/$66).

Tickets will be sold through Croatian ticket website Eventim.hr.

Accommodation for the Festival
As the festival is being held on the grounds of the Sol Stella Maris resort, you actually have a considerable amount of options within the grounds of the resort itself! These include Camping Stella Maris, the four-start Hotel Melia Istrian Villas, and the Hotel Sol Stella Apartments.

Alternatively, there are also numerous other options for places to stay elsewhere in and near Umag. Take a look at what's available using the search box below:

Getting to Umag & Umagination
Umag is close to the northern tip of the Istrian peninsula (and therefore, one of the most northern towns in Croatia). The closest Croatian airport is Pula, to which there are a number of flights from the UK - Ryanair and Thomsonfly both operate routes to there. There are also flights from numerous other European airports to Pula; see our Getting to Istria page for details of flights from the UK and Europe.

You can transfer from Pula airport to the main bus station in Pula, from where you can make your way to the Festival site by local bus lines.

However, Umag is about 53 miles/85 kilometers north of Pula. In some ways, it might therefore be easier to fly to an airport in neighbouring Italy (for example, Trieste is only about 28 miles/46 kilometers from Umag) and then make your way to Umag by public transport such as buses. See our Getting from Italy to Croatia section for further help.
