The Festival
Hideout Festival made its debut in 2011, bursting on to the (Croatian) festival scene with great aplomb, with sets from Simian Mobile Disco, Erol Alkan, 2ManyDjs, Pendulum and many more.

Such is the popularity of the festival that not only have many of the details for the 2012 event already been announced, but a great number of acts have already confirmed. These include Ricardo Villalobos, Annie Mac, Skrillex, Skream and a whole host of other names. (With yet more to be announced in due course!)

A clear sign of the success of the inaugural event is that a fourth venue for the Festival has been added for 2012, which will increase the capacity of Hideout. As in 2011, the event is to be held at a couple of famous venues by Zrce Beach (the clubs Papaya and Aquarius) in Novalja, on the island of Pag. (Both the beach and resort are considered to be Croatia's premier party places, and the clubs are often cited as the best in Croatia - that surely gives you an idea of the level of festival we're talking about here!) For 2012, the club Kalypso will also be one of the venues.

As ever, one of the delights of attending a festival in Croatia is the boat parties that accompany it! Hideout is no exception, and details of their fantastic boat parties will be announced in due course. (Tickets for these need to be purchased separately.)

Accommodation for the Festival
The Hideout Festival website provides a number of tips for acquiring accommodation in Novalja and nearby. You will find various accommodation options are possible - including apartments, private rooms and hotels - both in Novalja itself, or a little bit further away. You can also search for accommodation in the town using the box below:

Getting to Pag and the Hideout Festival
The nearest airport to the island of Pag is Zadar airport which is on the mainland. Ryanair are the only airline to fly to Zadar from the UK. In 2012, Ryanair will be three five times a week from London Stansted to Zadar. The are also flying two times a week from East Midlands to Zadar - however, this route only starts on 2nd July 2012, so isn't suitable for getting to Hideout! (Although you could make use of it for your return journey.)

Zadar Airport is also serviced by a very good number of flights from elsewhere in Europe. See our Getting to North Dalmatia page for air routes from assorted European cities.

From Zadar airport, you can take a transfer bus to the main bus terminal in Zadar. From here you can take an additional bus direct to Novalja. Journey time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. You can also contact the Hideout Festival organisers to see if official transfers are being organised.

You can of course fly into airports slightly further away to give yourself more options for reaching Hideout. See our Getting to Split and Getting to Zagreb pages for details of which airlines fly to these cities from the UK and Europe.

There is a direct bus from Zagreb to Novalja (journey time 5.5 hours - see the Zagreb Bus Terminal website) whilst Split is about 3.5 hours south of Zadar.
