Here’s some Croatian cookery books that you might like to use to learn more Croatian recipes and specialities.
My Favourite Croatian Recipes
Published in January 2005, this cookery book features recipes from different regions in Croatia. Enjoy sumptuous soups and starters; delicious meat and fish main dishes and gorgeous deserts – including our personal favourite, Orehnjaca (walnut roll)!
The Best of Croatian Cooking (Expanded Edition)
Liliana Pavicic & Gordana Pirker-Mosher
Features recipes for over 200 Croatian dishes, including over appetizers, soups, meat and fish dishes and over 50 dessert recipes. Usefully, recipes have been updated for ease of preparation in non-Croatian kitchens, whilst at the same time still remaining very close to their true form.
A Taste of Croatia
Dalmatia: Recipes from Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast
Featuring around 80 recipes including some classic Croatian/Dalmatian dishes such as soparnik, djuvedj, pasticada and brujet (brodet).
The Adriatic Kitchen
Inspired by the island of Korcula (where the author lived for several years), this cookbook divides up the recipes by season, and therefore seasonal ingredients. Lots of wonderful Adriatic and Mediterranean starts, mains and desserts for the whole year round.
