Travellers from outside of Europe - we're afraid that you're out of luck. There aren't any direct flights from outside of Europe to Croatia. The only exception to this rule is a service run by Qatar Airways from Doha in Qatar to Zagreb, which is technically labelled as a direct flight although it involves a one-hour stop at Budapest Airport. (Total journey time is 7 and a half hours.)

Nevertheless, travelling to Croatia is still reasonably straightforward. Thanks to the numerous flights that do exist from other countries in Europe to Croatia, it is simply a matter of finding the best route (because of price, or ease of travel) from your home country to Europe - and then planning your onward journey to Croatia.

When booking flights, you might find it easier to book your entire itinerary in one go - meaning, using a travel booking website such as Expedia.co.uk to purchase all flights (two or more) for travelling to Croatia.

Alternatively, you might like to book a ticket from your home country to Europe with a major international airline, and then book a flight to Croatia with a European low-cost airline separately. This may mean that you will not only make some savings on ticket prices, but you'll also have more choice of travel routes to Croatia.

If you're doing this, we would recommend booking flights either via London or Germany (perhaps Cologne/Bonn). There are flights to all the major Croatian airports from London (thought flights depart from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted to different destinations - bear this in mind!).
