The Festival
Held in the pretty setting of Lake Jarun on the outskirts of the Zagreb, the INmusic Festival is smaller than some other similar events but still attracts a number of big name pop and rock acts. Last year's festival drew top names such as Lily Allen, NERD, Franz Ferdinand and Moby.
What's great about this festival is that it's easy to reach. Zagreb is just a two-hour flight from the UK, and there's a few airlines that operate direct flights between the two countries. There are also great air, bus and train connections to Zagreb from elsewhere in Europe.
With the festival in an easy-to-reach location on the edge of Zagreb, this event would be a great way of combining a city break with a European festival experience.
A number of acts have already been announced for the 2010 festival, including Billy Idol, Massive Attack, The Flaming Lips, !!!, LCD Soundsystem, Morcheeba and Pendulum (live) .
Better still, the festival recently announced that a "Day Zero" will be added - i.e. 21st June (the day before the original two days of the event) will now also feature as part of the line-up. US rockers Alice in Chains are to open the festival on that day.
Our top tip: for absolutely tonnes of fun, be sure to attend the Silent Party that will be on site at the festival. Essentially, this will be a large area with everyone wearing headphones...listing to one of the three DJs, who will all be playing different tunes. Of course, with the headphones there will be no speakers - hence the "silent party"! Great fun.
Tickets for the INmusic Festival
Tickets
for this year's festival are already available online at the Croatian Ticketpro website. Early-bird tickets can be bought for €55 until 17th March; from the 18th March tickets then cost €65, then €75 from the 6th May.
Accommodation for the Festival
This year's event will see a special, well-equiped six-day campsite open to festivalgoers. This will be perfect for those looking to keep costs low - not to mention those for whom a festival isn't a festival without camping!
Alternatively, of course, you may like to stay in the city itself. You'll have a number of options available to you - from hostels to five star hotels, so check out our guide to Accommodation in Zagreb.

Getting to Zagreb
WizzAir and Croatia Airlines both operate flights from the UK to Zagreb.
As mentioned, Zagreb also has great connections to elsewhere in Europe. See our Getting to Zagreb guide for full details.
Getting to the INmusic Festival
The festival is easy to reach by public transport from the centre of
Zagreb. Tram numbers 5 or 17 both go to Jarun (the stop itself is called Jarun!). 17 is probably the most useful as you can catch it from the main square, Trg bana Jelacica.
From Jarun tram stop, you can walk to the festival site - follow the signposts.
