Pescara

If you’re travelling from Pescara to Croatia, the first thing to know is that there are presently no ferry services between the two.

The alternative option is, therefore, to take a train up to Ancona (journey time between 1 hour 10 minutes and 2 hours 10 minutes, depending on which train you take) and then one of the ferries from here. It is best to use the Trenitalia website to search for train timetables to help plan your journey. From Ancona, there are a number of ferries that operate to Split year-round, and services to Zadar in peak season.

Alternatively, you may consider travelling down the Italian coast to Bari. From here, there are ferry services across to Dubrovnik. Again, train is the best option when travelling from Pescara to Bari – journey time is about 2 hours 40 minutes – 3 hours, and the Trenitalia website will help you with timetables.
