Unknown Croatia will take place in Rovinj, 8th to 12th September 2014.

About Unknown Croatia

Unknown burst on the Croatian festival scene in 2013, having a very successful first year…and now they’re back for more! Unknown  is brought to you by the same people behind the incredibly popular Hideout Festival (also in Croatia – 30th June to 3rd July on the island of Pag); The Warehouse Project series of club nights in Manchester; and Field Day in London’s Victoria Park – and with such serious big-name promoters bringing you this event, it’s sure to be something special.

Although Unknown was entirely new for 2013, they had a quite frankly superb line-up, mixing together live acts and top DJs. Names such as Jessie Ware, Django Djando, Four Tet, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Erol Alkan, Jamie xx and SBTRKT all appeared on the bill. 2014’s line-up is still be to announced, so watch this space – but we’re sure that it will be just as great as last year!

The festival’s location – just outside the incredibly pretty town of Rovinj in Istria, the northernmost county on Croatia’s coast – is another big plus. This stunning backdrop is futher complimented by the fact it’s very easy to reach, with a whole host of airports (in Croatia and Italy) nearby.

Accommodation for Unknown

Getting to Rovinj

The nearest Croatian airport to the festival site is Pula, which is about 25 miles south of Rovinj. Quite a few airlines fly there from the UK, including Ryanair from London Stansted; Thomsonfly from London Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester; and Jet2.com from Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle and Glasgow.

From Pula Airport, there are regular transfer buses to the main bus station in Pula, from where you can then get another bus to Rovinj.

For more options in travelling to Unknown, consider flying to somewhere in Italy (such as Trieste, Venice Treviso or Venice Marco Polo Airports) to where there are daily flights in the summer from the UK. It is relatively easy to transfer from any of these airports to Rovinj – see our Getting to Istria page for more details of bus routes and other possibilities for travelling over to Croatia.

Alternatively, Unknown should also be organising transfers from some of the airports mentioned above.
