IMPORTANT Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus outbreak, Hideout has been cancelled for 2020. The festival has instead confirmed the dates of 20th to 24th June 2021 for its next instalment. Tickets holders can either transfer their booking to 2021 or get a full refund. See Hideout’s statement on this here.
The 10th Hideout Festival will take place in its usual location – Zrce Beach in Novalja, on the island of Pag – from 21st to 25th June 2020!
Set on what’s considered to be the party island of Pag in Croatia, Hideout made its debut in 2011, bursting on to the (Croatian) festival scene with great aplomb. The last few years have seen some fantastic acts perform, with sets from top names such as Stormzy, Diplo, Chase and Status, Pendulum, Erol Alkan, Seth Troxler, DJ Hype, Andy C, Simian Mobile Disco, Erol Alkan, 2ManyDjs, Pendulum, Ricardo Villalobos, Annie Mac, Skrillex, Skream, Sigma, Seth Troxler and more.
2020 will see the tenth edition of the festival take place (hasn’t time flown by?!), and much of the line-up has already been announced. If you head down to Hideout this summer, you’ll be in for a treat with names such as Chase and Status (DJ set), Andy C, CC:Disco!, Camelphat, DJ Hype, Danny Howard, Gorgon City, Shy FX and Horse Meat Disco all on the bill amongst others, with many more still to be announced.
As ever, one of the delights of attending a festival in Croatia is the boat parties that accompany it. Hideout is no exception, and details of their fantastic boat parties will be announced in due course. (Tickets for these need to be purchased separately.) And alongside the boat parties, Hideout also hosts its famous pool parties…!

Getting to Pag and the Hideout Festival
The nearest airport to the island of Pag is Zadar which is on the Croatian mainland. Ryanair fly to Zadar from the UK and Ireland – they operate flights from London Stansted, Manchester, Liverpool, Dublin and Cork airports. Easyjet fly to Zadar from London Gatwick and London Luton airports.
Zadar Airport has a good number of flights from elsewhere in Europe. See our Getting to North Dalmatia page for air routes from various European cities.
If you’re making your own way from Zadar airport, you can take a transfer bus to the main bus terminal in Zadar (you’ll see buses waiting outside the terminal building), which is about a 20-minute journey. From here you can take an additional bus direct to Novalja; the island is in fact connected to the mainland by bridge. Journey time from Zadar to Novalja is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes; check the Zadar Bus Terminal website for more details.
If you’re thinking of flying into one of the airports slightly further away from Novalja, see our Getting to Split and Getting to Zagreb pages. These have details of which airlines fly to these cities from the UK and Europe.
There is a direct bus from Zagreb to Novalja (journey time 5.5 hours – see the Zagreb Bus Terminal website); Split is about 4.5 hours south of Novalja. In the summer months, there’s a direct bus service run by Antonio Tours from Split to Novalja; this operates in the late afternoon/evening.
Hideout also organises flight or coach packages from the UK, offering departures from several cities. Check out the festival website for full details and to book.
