The main airport in North Dalmatia is Zadar Airport, so if you're planning on travelling to this part of Croatia, this is the best airport to fly to. See details of flights below.

(N.B. The majority of the flights mentioned below at the moment refer to the spring/summer period only, but please do check each airline's website to see exact timetables and route operating periods.)

If you're reaching North Dalmatia through other means, it is still best to head to Zadar first and then make the journey to your final destination accordingly.

Flying from the UK & Ireland
Ryanair are the only airline operating flights from the UK/Ireland to Zadar. Unfortunately, they've cut some of their routes/flights to this airport this year, but there are still flights four times a week from London Stansted from the beginning of June, and flights from two times a week from Dublin from the end of March. They do seem to be chopping and changing their schedules quite a bit, so check the Ryanair website for latest flight news.

You can also fly to Zadar via Zagreb with Croatia Airlines. There are daily flights to Zagreb from London Heathrow, and flights six times a week from London Gatwick during summer.

Alternatively, you might like to fly to Ancona in Italy (Ryanair also fly to here from the UK) and then get one of the regular ferries across to Zadar. Read more about reaching Croatia from Ancona.

Flying from Europe
GermanWings flights from Berlin, Stuttgart, Cologn/Bonn and Hanover

Lufthansa flights from Munich

Ryanair flights from Brussels Charleroi, Pisa, Frankfurt-Hahn, Dusseldorf Weeze, Oslo Rygge and Stockholm Skavsta

DanubeWings flights from Bratislava

Intersky flights from Friedrichshafen

Bus & Train from Europe
Train isn't a particularly good option in reaching Zadar as you'll most likely have to make quite a few changes along the way, so the journey will be rather drawn out.

There also aren't many direct international buses to Zadar, although there are daily buses from Trieste (as part of the routes that go on to Split and Dubrovnik). See timetables on Italian bus company SAF's website.

Ferry from Europe
Jadrolinija have ferries several times a week all year round from Ancona in Italy.

From elsewhere in Croatia
Croatia Airlines has direct flights from Zagreb (flight time: 45 minutes) and Pula (flight time: 40 minutes).

Jadrolinija have ferries from to the local islands around Zadar,

You can see timetables for buses into Pula at the Pula Bus Station website.
