June
The Trogir Summer Festival commences in mid June but stretches out over July and August too. A number of traditional and modern concerts are held, together with theatre and dance performances, and exhibitions from both Croatian and international performers at various venues throughout Trogir.

The International Children's Festival is held over two weeks at the end of June/beginning of July in Sibenik. A number of performaces, films and workshops aimed at and to include children take place.

July
The Garden Festival is held in the small village of Petrcane, near Zadar and stretches out over a couple of weekends at the beginning of July. Established in 2005, this dance festival first grew by word of mouth and has now become one of the popular "off the beaten track" festivals in Europe. A number of well-known DJs and live acts play.

The Musical Evenings of St Donat, held over a month in Zadar, are a series of classical concerts by Croatian and international performers and musicians at St Donatus Church and various other locations in the town.

Another dance music festival this month is the Soundwave Festival Croatia, also held in Petrcane. Held over the weekend of 23rd - 25th July 2010 with three main stages, there will be plenty to enjoy.

August
The Evenings of Dalmatian Chanson are two days in mid-August in Sibenik. (A chanson is a special type of lyrical song - I had to look that up!) The event showcases typical Dalmatian singing.

The Electric Elephant - which takes place over three days at the end of August - is a third music festival held in Petrcane, near Zadar. Now in its third year, the dance festival is organised by UK DJs and promoters Unabombers.
