There’s plenty of choice for cruises in Croatia, as the coastline really lends itself to a a variety of routes and options; generally, cruises operate all along the coastline except off the Istrian coast.

Most commonly, boats can accommodate somewhere between 12 to 40 people, with most cabins configured for two people. Consider whether you’d prefer travelling with fewer other people on a smaller boat, or on a larger boat with more space (both inside and on deck). Cruise prices that you will see quoted are per person, so it’s assumed that you’ll book with a fellow traveller!
Once you have a vague idea of what size of boat you’d like to be on, start researching cruise routes. There will be plenty to choose from in Croatia – consider what island and mainland ports you might want to stop off at during the cruise. Generally, once the cruise is booked you can then sort out flights (and so on) from your home country, but double-check that the start/end point of the cruise can be easily reached.
Different cruises have different itineraries in terms of what activities are offered each day. Some are more laid back – plenty of stops for swimming and sightseeing when docking at ports, with the opportunity to have dinner and drinks at specific towns in the evenings. Others offer walking and cycling tours as part of the itinerary.
Most cruises last for 7 days, though some last for 14 days for those that wish to take to the seas for longer amount of time. The majority of cruises are offered on a half board basis, though drinks are not usually included in the cruise price. Some of the cruises mentioned below, however, are for 3/4 days.
