Seasplash Festival

The 21st – and last – Seasplash Festival will be taking place in Sibenik, 20th to 23rd July 2023.

About Seasplash Festival

For something a little different to many of the festivals featured in this section, why not try Seasplash? Now in its twenty-first year (you read that right – that makes it Croatia’s longest-running festival), this ‘dance and lifestyle’ event will take place over four days in 2023. Seasplash is surely unique in the mixture of acts and genres it brings together – reggae, ska, jungle, drum ‘n’ bass, dubstep and electro, to name just a few!

However, the 21st edition of the festival will in fact be the last Seasplash, sadly. The organisers have decided that after two epic decades of bringing music of Caribbean heritage to the Croatian coast, 2023 will be the final time Seasplash is to be held. This obviously means that this year’s festival will be a truly epic one! Come down to Sibenik to join in the farewell party for Seasplash.

Each year, a variety of both local and international acts take part. The first ten names on the bill for 2023 have already been announced – they include Channel One, Headmix, Pitchblack, St!llness, Antenat, Filip Motovunski, Rahmanee, Dubble, Pulap Reggae Station and Crazy Baldhead.

Seasplash will once again return to Martinska pier and beach, opposite Sibenik. This is surely one of the few festivals in the world to be held within a UNESCO Heritage site!

There will also be plenty of additional extras (a bazaar, workshops, chill-out zones, boat parties, and cultural and sports activities) for you to enjoy. Oh, and there is free camping (although there is limited availability) included in the ticket price!

Getting to Sibenik

Sibenik is about 50-60km north (along the coast) from Split Airport, so this is understandably the best place to fly into. Luckily, there are many flights from the UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe to Split. See our Getting to Split page for more details.

From Split Airport, you can get local bus number 37 (on the road outside the airport grounds) to Trogir. There are then numerous buses from Trogir to Sibenik. Or, for more options, take an airport transfer bus from Split Airport to Split bus station, and then another bus from here to Sibenik.

Zadar Airport is also pretty close to Sibenik which provides further options for travelling from the UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe. See our Getting to Zadar and Getting to North Dalmatia pages for more details.
