The Festival
For something a little different to many of the festivals featured in this section, why not try the Sunsplash Festival, which is now in its eighth year? Taking place over four days, this "dance and lifestyle" festival is surely unique in the mixture of acts and genres it brings together - reggae, ska, jungle, drum 'n' bass, dubstep and electro, to name just a few!
With a variety of both local and international acts taking part this year, names include
Lutan Fyah and High Grade Band, Iration Steppas, Channel One Sound System, Exodus, Las Balkanieras and many, many more - over 60 acts are scheduled to perform.
Five stages will be in action throughout the Festival; acts perform Thursday 22nd to Saturday 24th, whilst the Sunday 25th is reserved for the closing party at Fort Punta Christo, which is close to the Monumenti Festival site.
There will also be plenty of additional extras (workshops, chill out zones, boat parties) for you to enjoy!

Tickets can be purchased from the Ticketpro.hr website in advance for 95 Kuna/£11/€13 for a 1-day ticket, or 270 Kuna/£32/€35 for the full Festival ticket.
Alternatively, you can also purchase tickets at the entrance for £14/€16 for a 1-day ticket, or £35/€40 for a full Festival ticket.
Tickets for Sunday's closing part cost £8/€10/70 Kunas and can be purchased on the door. Accommodation for the Festival
Camping is available on the Festival grounds and is included in the price of your ticket - however, space is limited.
As the Festival is close to the centre of Pula (it is on the outskirts of the town) it is certainly possible to stay in accommodation there and make your way to the Festival site each day by public transport. Take a look at what Pula accommodation options are available using the search box below:
Getting to Pula
Luckily, Pula has its own Airport so the Seasplash Festival is easy to reach from abroad. There's a number of airlines that fly from the UK to Pula, such as Ryanair, Croatia Airlines and Thomsonfly . You may also consider flying to nearby airports in Italy with Ryanair and transferring across to Istria. There's also quite a few options for flying from elsewhere in Europe - details of all of these possibilities are on our Getting to Istria page.
You can transfer from Pula airport to the main bus station in Pula, from where you can make your way to the Festival site by local bus lines.
