Cavtat is the most southerly resort in Croatia, and is in fact located between Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik Airport - so very easy to get to. Smaller and quieter than Dubrovnik, is still retains much of its own charm and there's plenty to see and do. It may be most suitable for those wanting a sea & sun holiday and for whom Dubrovnik's city beaches will be far too busy during summer! There's a wide variety of accommodation in Cavtat - hotels and private rooms/apartments - with a smart 5-star hotel (Hotel Croatia) also situated in the town.
Of course, Dubrovnik itself is easily reached by public bus.
