South of Split, Makarska is a popular resort for holidaymakers during summer, and if you've ever been there, it's easy to see why. As the main town within the Riviera, it's a great destination for those wanting a mix to their holiday - a bit of relaxation and sea & sun with a bit of sightseeing thrown in too...not to mention options for dining and entertainment in the evenings. Biokovo Mountain is situated just behind Makarska for those that fancy a trek up it!
